Agrarchemie-2

Agricultural chemistry is a branch of chemistry concerned with the study of chemical and biochemical processes in soils and plants, the mineral nutrition of plants, and the use of fertilisers and other chemical means to improve fertility and increase yields. It also includes the study of how plant biochemistry can be used to genetically modify crops. The aims of agricultural chemistry are to increase understanding of the causes and effects of biochemical reactions related to plant and animal growth, to identify ways of controlling these reactions, and to develop chemical products that provide the desired support or control. Agricultural chemistry is therefore used in the processing of raw materials into food and drink, and in environmental monitoring and remediation. It is also used in the production of animal feed supplements and medicines to prevent or control disease.
