Wirz & Partners welcomes Kaspar Widmer Cantz as a new Partner
We are delighted to welcome Kaspar Widmer Cantz as a new partner at Wirz & Partners. He brings with him over 25 years of international management experience – as an entrepreneur, multiple CEO and in senior leadership positions at Swiss SMEs with a global focus, international companies and global tech corporations. He is an engineer and holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen. His passion is the sustainable filling of key roles that are a perfect fit both professionally and culturally – supported by data-based approaches and AI methods.
Kaspar Widmer Cantz began his career at Migros in food product development before moving into the technology sector. After his early years at IBM and Siemens, he took on management responsibilities at MCI-Worldcom and Reichle & De-Massari before leading a strategic transformation as CEO at WIFAG-Polytype. This was followed by international roles at BT Global Services and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he headed the service and support organisation as Country Director of Technology Services. His clients in all roles included global pharmaceutical, industrial, and financial customers.
The last eight years have been shaped by his role as co-founder and CEO of a deep tech start-up in the pharmaceutical production environment. During this time, Kaspar Widmer Cantz led the company through a challenging industrialization phase marked by technological challenges, regulatory requirements, and the different dynamics between large pharmaceutical companies and an agile startup. Particularly formative was the development of an AI-based inspection solution and the digital transformation under strictly regulated conditions.
